This weekend, I went up to Buffalo, NY for a wedding from an old roommate. As I learned on my last visit, Mighty Taco is insanely good. I ate there twice on Saturday and wish I had eaten there on Sunday, also. There I had a delicious “Nacho” burrito, 3-cheeses and crumbled tortilla chips and later the “El Nino,” a deadly 1/2 pound burrito.
On Sunday, instead of eating more fast, but great food, I ate this:

The bomblette? The vomlette?
Those are the two names I’ve come up with. It came with broccoli, carrots, cucumber and was kinda tasty but also a little disgusting. The waitress convinced us to get pancakes and homefries on top of this. The table was covered.
It affected our entire drive back.

I just decided to check what would happen if I googled my name.
Would I find this blog? No, I didn’t. I guess that could be because I never mention my full name on here, but maybe not. What am I missing on my climb to the top of my own name ladder.
I was able to find my LinkedIn profile and my old site that shouldn’t exist anymore. (I’m not sure why it is up still). Also, I found this band Perfect Lee Frank. They are a Australian band and that is their myspace. You can hear them here. You should love them, a lot or a little.
What are the top results for your name? Anything really funny?

I have decided to start a writing flurry. I plan to write 2 posts a day in the month of August. I might need ideas, steal ideas, write about the word idea. I’m hoping that this month of writing can develop my writing as well as the new course of this blog.
In other news, I’m trying to bring back “rad.” Use it, its contagious.

Hello!
If you’re looking at this without a reader, you’ll notice that the layout has changed. I decided I wanted a new look and with the help of the theme from pomomusings. Also, my header picture has been completed by my friend Beth.
Enjoy it!

this two day event was a good one for me. it really got me out into the philly scene meeting local and national bloggers of varying experience levels. i learned the world of twitter and tumblr and heard a lot about social networking that i have yet to use.
along the course of the 2-day mega-meta-party, i spoke to many established bloggers and podcasters who were totally friendly and open to any questions i could throw at them.
in particular, some friendlies were:

i saw sicko on sunday. it was a compelling, humorous, saddening movie.
the film starts by depicting a few people who have had horrible accidents or diseases only to be told that their insurance would not be covering the problem or that their lack of insurance would lead to massive debt.
then he jumps abroad: canada, england, france . . . cuba. in each of these countries he mets people who have been receiving universal healthcare as part of their taxes and loving it. he also seems to find an american who has expatriated to the country in order to receive the care.
the first three countries are not so surprising to me, but in cuba, the americans that he brings with him receive amazing care with plans to follow after leaving the hospital. i was wondering at what point of the movie moore was gonna get some elective surgeries, but that’s neither here nor there.
