My friend, Becca Trabin, a PW intern recorded a video introducing that she was taking the “The Great Schlep” of Sarah Silverman fame to Florida to see if she really needed to convince her bubbie about voting for Obama. Philebrity took over a week to review this video coming out with what I’d consider a less-than-lackluster list of their reactions. This continues the Philebrity “attack” of PW which could be seen before at The Sound and the Fury in April.

The mention that got my attention said this:

Couldn’t this girl have, you know, done herself up a little bit? I mean, they told her this was going on the Internet, right?

This is ridiculous. If you want to attack her video, whatever, because I’m not sure who actually cares about the Philebrity opinion, but maybe the Philebrity community should heed their own advice. I met some of the Philebrity superstars at the “Blog Philadelphia” event two years ago and I couldn’t help but thinking, “Couldn’t these guys, you know, hit up a treadmill a little bit? I mean, they do know they’re in front of everyone, right?”

On Sunday, instead of eating more fast, but great food, I ate this:

Those are the two names I’ve come up with. It came with broccoli, carrots, cucumber and was kinda tasty but also a little disgusting. The waitress convinced us to get pancakes and homefries on top of this. The table was covered.

It affected our entire drive back.

• These Palin Ringtones. Hockey Moms, answer your phones.
• The Phillies, who have just made it into the NLCS winning their first playoff game and then series since 1993.
• The iYo. It’s a yo-yo that uses motion to charge your iphone/ipod. That’s rather sick.
• Also, this song. It is “Fresher Than You” by The Cool Kids.

I’m not very into:

• McCain saying I am friends with him. I don’t need that on my rep. We had a major falling out, anyway.
• My eyes burning. That really blows.
• Voter Intimidation in Philadelphia.

From skiing to biking and rowing, I just noticed she said that she went golfing today. This girl is crazy. She mentioned on her blog that she is going to be biking to raise money for MS.

For months now, I’ve biked for my own benefit.  It’s fun and has helped my arm strength tremendously.  Now I get to bike to help others in the National Multiple Sclerosis Society’s City to Shore 2008.  The ride goes from Philadelphia to the Jersey shore- much farther than I can actually cycle- but I will be riding at least the first and last legs.

I left my apartment (seen above) around 1 pm (jealous?) to go to the Brooklyn Botanic Garden for free-for-all Tuesdays. That’s my personal name for the Tuesday free admission event.

I decide to walk because it is beautiful outside and cool, too. Also, from looking on a map, I realized that the subway ride, which I had take before takes about the same time and is only a 15-minute trek.

On the way to the Gardens, I passed the yet unvisited by me Brooklyn Museum, which I am told to see on a 1st Friday.

After seeing that one flower and some trees and realizing the size of this park, I decided to take a seat with my book, Gaming the Vote, where the point was reestablished that Election Consultants are not meant to be nice guys and that the Democrats got screwed two elections in a row.

On the way for food because I was very, very hungry, I stopped in at the Brooklyn Public Library to pick up some more books to read on elections and Foreign Policy. Isn’t the entrance pretty in a ten commandments way?

Also at the library, I found out I had won tickets to a Cool Kids concert with Matt and Kim. Thanks to BrooklynVegan. (One of my favorite sites since I moved here).

Hungrily, I found La Taq in Park Slope. Ordered a burrito and destroyed it. I may have eaten it before I even made it to the table.

Lee: WHAT?! PAY FOR THE MONEY?! HA HA.
