I don’t like politics a lot and I really don’t like campaign videos,
but over at the McCain campaign headquarters they’re putting out some
doosies. This one claims, he is too cool. With Paris Hilton and Britney
Spears as examples, how can I stop thinking he is too cool. Cool means
he cannot lead.
I’m waiting for the rebuttal by Obama, with McCain doing the
jitterbug while images of grandfather time and Abe Vigoda are shown
behind him. Is too old more damaging than too hip?
Also, check out Barackbook, a facebook copy about Obama and the crazy people he is associated with. Check out the video after the link.

I have decided to start a writing flurry. I plan to write 2 posts a day in the month of August. I might need ideas, steal ideas, write about the word idea. I’m hoping that this month of writing can develop my writing as well as the new course of this blog.
In other news, I’m trying to bring back “rad.” Use it, its contagious.

When it rains as it sometimes does, I like to do things like watch “Remember the Titans” or another heartwarming sports movie or crochet a trenchcoat. However, there are plenty of things I don’t like doing, here are some. Of my choices, some are related to the fact that its raining, while others deal with things I don’t want to do if I end up stuck inside.
17. Wear flip-flops.
16. Learn about a card catalog (i.e. Dewey Decimal system).
15. Build a non-waterproof arc.

While reading consumerist this morning, I noticed quite the offer for all of you technology fans out there. This product combines fake tech devices with drinking for an incredible result: the Stealth Cell Phone Flask.
Pictured (borrowed from the company Homebarsource.com) on the left is the package deal. It comes with a case and belt clip so you can look like you bought a strange looking phone about 6 years ago and just stuck with it even with all the Iphones, Razors and Chocolates being peddled. It doesn’t even have numbers, how hard would that be?

On Sunday night, I arrived in New York with Galen, a friend I made in Wuhan that just happens to live and study in New York. The train ride, which I’ll blog at a later date (Thursday perhaps), brought us into Times Square to crowds, heat, and crazy-large advertisments. After stopping in Galen’s packed to the brim apartment, we took an hour ride out to Queens to meet my housing for the night, another Wuhanren named Lydia. Read the rest of this entry »

People have a sixth sense, a second sense and sense and sensibility. Now, courtesy of my English slang book, I present you with the ability to have a “horse sense.” Unlike our last animal one, happy as a clam, I haven’t gotten a clue of what this is related to.

There are several lists out there about the best Wordpress plug-ins to really get the best out of your wordpress blog, but I thought I’d add my ideas to the game. I’ll do it alphabetically for you:
- Akismet: This is a built-in comment spam killer, which as reported by most people and me, is really great.
- Bookmarkify is a great automatic social bookmarking tool. It add little adorable pictures the end of each of my posts for easy marking for digg, technorati, stumble upon and many more.
- The Feedsmith Feedburner plug-in eases the process of moving your RSS feed to Feedburner, which is much better tool for feeds than the built-in feed of wordpress.
- Similar Posts plug-in does just what it says and does it well. It takes my tags I choose at the end of posts to group together some recent similar posts the reader might love to read.
- I also use several plug-ins to get appropriate and efficient viewing on many portable devices including the iphone, Sony PSP, Nintendo Wii, and Nintendo DS-Lite.
These are just my favorites of the lot. If you have one you’d like me to know about or you want to promote.
