Getting free chicken feet: Is this punishment?

Weekly or bi-weekly, we go to our local restaurant, usually with Linda and Steven and get to practice our Chinese by ordering our food without pointing to a menu or having a Chinese person come to our aid.

Pretty often, the ordering goes something like this:
Colette: “Gong bao ji ding, mei fan, hai you bing de ke la.”
“Kung pow chicken, rice and a cold coke.”
Clerk: “Hao de. Hai you ma?”
“Ok. Anything else?”
