Chinese interpretations: 1 of many: College Life

Cultures often have interesting interpretations of foreigners, especially ones they don’t often come in contact with. Living in China, I have come across this all the time; I have several examples to provide you with. So today, I will begin to present to you, “Chinese interpretations of the World.”

The first of this series will cover the ideas of Chinese towards College Life in America. Many Chinese people say they like American society, but I’m not too sure what they are refering to. Most of their ideas of America comes from films and TV shows that somehow filter through to here. From movies like American Pie, Superbad, and other similar college-frat-party-shenaniganish-recklessness, ideas of college life have possibly been portrayed a little incorrectly.
